This Cookie Policy explains how Kitebots uses cookies and similar technologies (including browser local storage and session storage) on our marketing website, our application, and the chat widget we provide. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
Cookies are small text files placed on your device. We also use related technologies such as localStorage and sessionStorage, which let a site or widget remember information in your browser. We refer to all of these collectively as “cookies” in this policy.
Strictly necessary: required for the site and app to function, including authentication, security, and load balancing. These cannot be switched off.
Functional: remember your preferences (such as language) and power first-party tools, including the chat widget’s session and conversation continuity (e.g. kb_visitor_*, kb_active_session_*, kb_recent_*).
Analytics: help us understand product usage so we can improve it. These are only set with your consent.
Marketing: support advertising and social integrations (for example Meta’s SDK app events used by the WhatsApp connect flow). These are only set with your consent.
Most storage we use is first-party (set by Kitebots). Some features load third-party scripts: the Zapier integration component and the chat widget (first-party functionality), and—only when you choose to use them—Meta’s JavaScript SDK for WhatsApp. Third-party providers process data under their own policies.
When a Kitebots-powered chatbot is embedded on a customer’s website, the widget may store a visitor identifier and session information in the visitor’s browser to maintain the conversation. Customers deploying the widget can enable a consent prompt so that this storage and chat data collection only begins after the visitor agrees. See /gdpr for how customers configure this.
You can accept all, reject non-essential, or customize categories using the banner shown on your first visit, and you can change your choice at any time using the button below or the “Cookie Preferences” link in the footer. You can also control cookies through your browser settings. Rejecting non-essential cookies will not affect strictly necessary functionality.
We may update this Cookie Policy as our technologies or legal requirements change. We will revise the “Last updated” date above.
